What is Workflow Rule At Salesforce?

Workflow Rule: 

At Salesforce a workflow rule is the Standard functionality that use to do some specific works. Likes,
  1. Email Send
  2. Update Field
  3. Send Outbound Message

What Is Standard Functionality:

Standard functionality refers to those functions that already build at Salesforce, which you can use directly after login.


Now Let's Learn What We Can Do Using Those Four Functionalities That In WorkFlow Rule!


Email Send:  You can use this function to send email from Salesforce. But keep It Mind without any Email Template you can't send any Email.

Update Field: From WorkFlow Rule you also can update any field from that specific object where you write the workflow, but you can't update two objects fields from one workflow rule.
